Our role
Product, design & engineering

PaktorPlaces is our own digital platform and media property. We designed the consumer experience and the editorial infrastructure behind it, from content architecture through deployment and ongoing development.

01 /The challenge

Choosing a place
is rarely just
finding a place.

People piece together a plan across maps, social posts, reviews and listicles. The information is scattered, and the questions that matter are often unanswered.

Is it right for a first date? What will it cost? Can we go when it rains? How do we get there?

We needed a product that could connect inspiration to practical decisions, backed by a richer content model than a conventional blog or directory.

02 /The product decision

Start with
the occasion.

Discovery is organised around intent: the occasion, neighbourhood, budget, activity and setting. Visitors can narrow a broad idea into a shortlist that fits their plan.

The same structured information supports dedicated landing pages and editorial collections, rather than living inside isolated articles.

PaktorPlaces discovery results with category, activity, occasion, area and price filters.
02 / Multi-dimensional discovery puts practical constraints alongside inspiration.

03 /The information architecture

One place.
Many ways in.

A listing is a reusable record: practical details, editorial context and relationships to other content. Categories, occasions, areas, collections and stories connect around it.

04 /Behind the experience

An editorial
operating system.

An embedded Sanity CMS manages listings, articles, collections, taxonomy, related content and SEO. The publishing workflow connects research, editorial review, photography, classification and practical information.

Google Places integration supports location and review information. Structured content feeds the responsive interface and search, while submissions and lead workflows support the platform’s operations.
